Poliovirus' Afghan variant detected in Lahore
LAHORE (Web Desk) – Punjab polio program on Thursday confirmed that poliovirus’ Afghan variant was detected in a sewerage.
The sample was taken from Outfall road and the positive result prompted the plans to initiate polio campaign in the city. The program has decided to map the population centers to run the drive and 28 union councils will witness the campaign.
